Considering the COVID-19 outbreak, we wanted to inform our customers that we will be adhering strictly to all advice provided by the World Health Organisation. We are also closely observing protocol as advised by local authorities.
Given the recent news and on-going issues surrounding COVID-19, we thought it was important that our customers are aware of the facts regarding the post and mail delivery, any risk to people’s health.
Please find below two statements, one from Royal Mail. We hope you find the below information useful and informative.
Royal Mail has issued the following statement
Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicized guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.
We are actively monitoring this rapidly evolving situation. We take the health and safety of our people very seriously. The well-being of our customers, our staff and the local community is an absolute priority, and we would like to assure you that our attention is focused upon implementing latest health and safety advice into our business continuity plan to ensure you receive an ongoing and uninterrupted service from The Design Print Distribution Group in these turbulent times.
All operatives are fully updated on the current requirements and are undertaking thorough health and safety measures to ensure that the highest possible hygiene standards are maintained throughout every aspect of our daily work.
Any members of staff presenting symptoms have automatically been asked to self-quarantine for fourteen days. This has been the case across the company for almost two weeks now.
It is of vital importance for us to be in a position to ensure that all procedures are in place to support the health and well-being of our staff here at The Design Print Distribution Group as they are the custodians of your company communications.
We will be monitoring developments daily and shall react accordingly to the latest guidance.
